Role of Professional Consulting Engineers

Historically, the role of consulting engineers has been to provide clients with expertise in many diverse fields of engineering. Consulting engineers remain dedicated to the highest standards of performance and conduct. They continue to learn and apply the latest techniques and methods. Consulting engineers are expected to apply all of their training, experience and judgment to the analysis and solution of the task at hand. The practice of engineering is dynamic and changing.

The consulting engineering profession has long since evolved beyond its basic technical aspects. Consulting engineers are now frequently called upon to assist clients in complying with local, state, and federal government regulations and procedures.
