Keith Warta is Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for Bartlett & West, Inc.  He also is the Director of the company’s Public Works Division.  Bartlett & West is an ENR top 500 firm with eight offices in six states. 

 

Mr. Warta has been a member of ACEC-Kansas for more than eight years.  He served on the Employed Engineers Committee that initiated individual memberships within the organization and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2003.  Mr. Warta is also active in Kansas Society of Professional Engineers, the American Public Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

 

He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas.  The areas of emphasis in his graduate program were pavement design and design storm generation.  Mr. Warta is a licensed professional engineer in Kansas and Texas.

Clinton Robinson has been with Black & Veatch Corporation for 23 years. He is currently an Associate Vice President and provides engineering studies, design and construction related services in both North and South America. He has been involved in over 50 water projects from Minnesota to Argentina.

Along with ACEC, his civic and community activities reflect a great interest and passion for education and economic development. He is serving in his second term as a Board Member for the Blue Valley School District and is currently the President. He also served on the Johnson County Planning Commission and serves on the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Johnson County Business Leadership Council. Mr. Robinson also serves on the Board of Directors of Youthfriends.

He was, literally, a born Jayhawk: his great grandfather was one of the first three professors at the University of Kansas. Mr. Robinson is a fourth-generation KU graduate as is his wife Britton. Naturally then, his community involvement includes generous service to his alma mater, including the Kansas City KU Alumni Association, the advisory board to KU’s School of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering and served as a Founding Member and Chair of the Recent Graduates Advisory Board.

Mr. Robinson has been married for twenty years and also serves in one of our community’s most challenging capacities: as parent to 3 daughters: Kirsten, 16, Remington, 13, and Karryn, 6.

Brent Remsberg is an Executive Vice President for Professional Engineering Consultants, P.A. (PEC). PEC is a multi-discipline firm of more than 240 professionals with licenses in 48 states. Mr. Remsberg manages PEC’s Civil Engineering Department. The Department includes three Divisions, Transportation, Water/Wastewater, and Municipal Services.

 

Mr. Remsberg maintains project management and design responsibilities for various transportation and municipal projects. His area of specialty is traffic engineering. He has served with PEC for more than 26 years and has more than 30 years design and construction experience.

 

Mr. Remsberg received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University. Prior to working at PEC, he served as Chief of Engineering for the Sedgwick County Department of Public Works.

 

Mr. Remsberg has been a member of ACEC of Kansas for 26 years. He is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors.

John Mitchell serves as a firm principal at Burns & McDonnell Engineering in Kansas City, Missouri.  Since joining the firm, John has served as principal designer on many of the firm’s major wastewater collection and treatment facilities.  He has served as global practice manager for Burns & McDonnell’s wastewater group holding responsibility for the firm’s wastewater projects in Midwest region and throughout the United States.

                                       

Over the past ten years Mr. Mitchell has assisted many Kansas communities in executing water and wastewater infrastructure projects utilizing alternative forms of project delivery including Design / Build and Design CM.  Mr. Mitchell has assisted municipalities and State agencies in drafting and implementing policy regarding alternative forms of project procurement. 

 

Mr. Mitchell holds a BSCE from the University of Missouri at Rolla.  He is Past President of the Kansas City Metro Chapter of the Missouri Water Environment Association and a member of the NSPE.  John is a registered Professional Engineer in Kansas and Missouri.

Sid Arpin is a Vice President of BG Consultants and serves as principal in charge of their Hutchinson office. Sid started with BG Consultants while attending Kansas State University, where he received his BS in Civil Engineering in 1977.  He worked in their Olathe office from 1981 to 1985, and has been in charge of the Hutchinson office since 1985.

Sid is a member of  the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Works Association, and has served as MATHCOUNTS coordinator at the chapter level for 25 years in KSPE.  He is currently president of the Hutchinson Rotary Club, serves on the Hutchinson Landmarks Commission, and has served on the ACEC Membership committee and the KCA/ACEC committee.  Sid and his wife Emily have three children, Hilary, Elliot, and James.

Kenzil Lynn joined BWR in 1990 and has worked as a design engineer and project manager on various transportation projects ranging from interstate roadways and interchanges to city streets and parking lots.  He has served as President of the Smoky Valley Chapter of KSPE and as the President of the Kansas Chapter of APWA Mr. Lynn became a Principal of the firm in 2000.  He currently manages the Salina office of BWR, housing five design teams and approximately 40 employees including 13 design engineers, as well as a full staff of surveyors, technicians and construction inspection personnel.  He also serves on BWR’s Board of Directors and as the Firm's Chief Learning Officer.

Kenzil received a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, Kansas State University in 1990 and an Associate, Civil Engineering Technology, Kansas State University-Salina in 1984.

Troy Eisenbraun is a Vice President with Wilson & Company, Inc. and manager of the transportation and civil engineering design group in the company’s Salina office.  He joined Wilson & Company in 1986 after spending more than 5 years with the Kansas Department of Transportation.  Wilson & Company is a multi-discipline consulting firm with 14 offices in 8 states.

Along with ACEC, Troy is a member the following professional organizations: National Society of Professional Engineers, Kansas Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.  He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1980 from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota, and is a licensed professional engineer in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

Mike Olson is the Vice President and Chief Operations Office for Kirkham Michael.  Kirkham Michael is a civil engineering firm with 7 offices in five states and nearly 150 employees.  Mike joined Kirkham Michael in 1991 after working eight years with the Iowa Department of Transportation.  Mike is a graduate of Iowa State University and is a licensed Professional engineer in Kansas, Iowa, and Oklahoma. 

Along with ACEC, Mike is actively involved in his community, church, and profession.  He has served as the president of Ellsworth County Economic Development Corporation and recently completed a term on the parish council board.  Mike and his wife, Dawn, have four children, Jacob, Alexandra, Zachary, and Rebecca.

Kevin L. Honomichl, P.E., L.S. is President of BHC RHODES, a civil engineering and surveying firm.  Kevin graduated from Kansas State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and received a Master of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Kansas in 1999.  In 1992, he was a co-founder of BHC Rhodes and has contributed to its consistent growth.  Kevin is a member of KSPE, NSPE, ASCE, KSLS, and currently serves as Past President on the Board of Directors of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas.  He also serves on the K-State Civil Engineering Department Advisory Council, is a member of the Board of Trustees of the KSU Foundation, and is the Chairman of the De Soto, KS Planning Commission.  Kevin is married to Dianne Honomichl and has one son, Mikolas.

Scott Heidner, JD has been with ACEC of Kansas since the summer of 2001, after three years of serving as the legislative and policy analyst for the Topeka City Council.  Scott graduated from the University of Kansas in 1994, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  Scott also received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1997 from the University of Kansas School of Law. Scott serves as the Executive Director of ACEC of Kansas.
